Hello all.
After almost one year of development, endless studies about light wave reflection laws in physics, some dives and hard work I can proudly present the result.
The german patent protected (Europatent/US pending) LED lighthead is compatible with all battery canisters working with 12V nominal DC voltage (e.g. Halcyon, Dive Elements, Salvo,Dive Rite etc.).
The lighthead is in testtube design and works best with the DIR Zone (EKPP) Reflector unit. All other reflectors work as well (e.g. Halcyon, Salvo, Dive Rite, etc.)
The cord, testtube and testtube O-rings are the same dimensions as the 18W HID head uses.
The body is made from solid seawater resistant high density aluminium, anodized and hard coated.
The backend is 39mm in diameter and 29mm in length. The total length is 120mm.
The backend is double O-ring sealed and pressure tested to 250m.
The used sealing gland is proofed to Germanys industrial protection class IP69K.
The single opto semi conductor is driven with 125% of its standard current supply.
The conductor is selected and gives out balanced daylight spread (5600K).
There is no chance of over heat due to endless heatsink.
The lightbeam is a concentrated spot.
The brightness is equivalent to a 18W HID light.
The burntime with a 9Ah battery pack is 8,5 h.
The testtube integrated special alloyd and high polished reflection body creates a precise spot beam
150 lighthead units are currently in production and available 20th of june 2009, when Diving Innovation&Repairs has been traded in Diving Innovations&Repairs GmbH.
July 11th/12th there will be testing days at the Schiefergrube Christine and Schwalefeld, Sauerland- central Germany. July 11th nightdiving in the lake of Messinghausen is possible till midnight.
There are 20 free places for diving the mines per day and 50 for the lake. 15 test units will be available.
